WealthUnite Advisors is a boutique advisory firm with a niche market in advising UK expats that reside in the US. Currently we manage primarily UK SIPP assets, however are looking to bolster our service to clients by adding a CFP to assist with US financial planning and investment management. Our clients are primarily made up of HNW individuals and senior executives.
This CFP will be an integral part of the business and immediately work with our existing client base to develop and implement financial plans. The CFP will work alongside the founder of WealthUnite and look to formulate an advisory team.
An ideal candidate would be looking to grow in a true collaborative, team environment. Ideally in their 30s with an entrepreneurial mindset looking to be part of an emerging and fast growing advisory business. Here's what you'll do as part of the team:
- Develop and deepen client relationships through financial planning
- Help individuals identify their unique financial needs and objectives
- Establish and define the client/planner relationship
- Develop and present personalized financial planning recommendations and/or alternatives.
- Implement and monitor financial planning recommendations
- Analyze the income and asset situation of clients as requested (at least once annually), and update their financial plans accordingly
- Recommend plans and products to help clients achieve their goals; identify appropriate investment and insurance solutions; discuss estate issues, tax considerations, and retirement or business planning objectives
- Comply with all regulatory requirements; satisfy continuing education requirements
- Three plus years of experience in investment management/financial advice
- Excellent knowledge of and ability to communicate financial planning concepts and terminology
- Self-motivated and entrepreneurial; goal-oriented at an individual and team level.
- A commitment to conduct business with honesty and integrity.
- Proficiency with FinTech, (For example: RightCapital, Redtail CRM systems, Morningstar Office, etc)
- Comfort discussing estate planning issues.
- Prepare asset allocation charts, retirement forecasts, cash flow analyses, education forecasts, insurance analyses, estate flows, etc
- Attend client and prospect meetings as requested with Advisors and Lead Advisors; manage/complete meeting follow-up activities
- Prepare prospect meeting materials to include new business proposals, presentations, etc.; meet with new clients to review paperwork if needed
Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree required with a strong academic track record
- FINRA Series 65 or 66
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP®)
- Three plus years of experience in investment management/financial advice
- Deep knowledge of financial, tax, and estate planning
- Strong knowledge of planning areas including investments, budgeting, taxes, risk management and estate planning
